• 01Is the tracker detectable?+

  The DuoTrack tracker uses a multi-frequency technology and an installation location chosen to minimise detection by RF scanners commonly used by organised thieves. No system is 100 % undetectable, but our install is designed to resist the rapid scans typical of a 90-second theft.

• 02What if the car crosses a border?+

  DuoTrack works across Europe (GSM 2G / 4G + satellite coverage). If your car crosses the border, you see it in real time in the app, with the address, and we coordinate with Swiss police for international transmission via Interpol.

• 03Why not an alarm system?+

  Two reasons. Legal: DuoTrack is positioned as a GPS tracking system, not an alert or alarm system, which keeps it outside the Concordat on private security companies (CES) that governs the latter. Operational: an alarm gets neutralised. A discreet GPS tracker stays active after the thieves have moved the car, which is exactly when you need it to work.

• 04How do I pay?+

  By card, from your DuoTrack account, monthly or yearly with a 10 % discount. You see the exact amount before confirming and you manage your card yourself. Companies receive an invoice from Duo Guardians.

• 05Is there a commitment?+

  None for individuals: you cancel whenever you want from your account, the subscription ends at the end of the paid period. The yearly payment is not refunded mid-year. Companies commit for 12 or 24 months, with a 10 % discount on 24 months.

• 06How do I cancel?+

  In two clicks from Settings › Subscription in your account. The tracker stays in the vehicle; it simply stops reporting to your account.

• 07I have several vehicles.+

  Each tracker costs the price of your plan. A family with two cars pays for two trackers on one account; a company sees its whole fleet on one map, with groups and per-user rights.

• 08Can my family see the car?+

  Yes. You invite the members you choose: they see the map and are notified like you. With Protect+, you also add up to two people notified by SMS without an account.

• 09Is my data private?+

  Your location data is hosted in Switzerland, encrypted at rest and in transit. It is kept 12 months (Protect, Fleet Essential) or 24 months (Protect+, Fleet Pro). A private mode pauses tracking whenever you want; you can export all your data or ask for your account to be deleted. The police only access it through the link you share with them, or on judicial request.

• 10Can I install it in German-speaking Switzerland?+

  Yes. We have installer partners in Zurich and Basel. GPS coverage is identical, the app and emails exist in German, and customer support is available in German on request.

• 11What if I sell my car?+

  The tracker is attached to your account. You cancel from your account, or we transfer the tracker to the new owner (free account transfer, they take over the subscription). Reinstalling it in your new car costs CHF 150.-.

• 12Which cars is it compatible with?+

  All passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Connected to the vehicle's power supply depending on the model. Compatible with combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

• 13Does tracking work if the battery is disconnected?+

  Yes, the tracker has its own battery (about 7 days in economy mode) and notifies you as soon as it is disconnected. This is precisely designed for that scenario: organised thieves know they must cut the battery to neutralise basic trackers.
